For me, the garden is the beating heart of my home, a place where time slows down and the senses awaken. Every morning, as I sink my hands into the dark, cool soil, I feel part of something alive; it is the passionate anticipation of a unique flavor.

Tomatoes, still warm from the sun, release a juice that is the very essence of summer; there is the daily miracle of the zucchini crowned with their golden flowers, the freshness of salads that taste of rain and clean earth. I've learned to wait with longing for the first fruits of spring and to celebrate the richness of black kale after the first winter frost. During my cookig classes in Florence we celebrate this freshness, finding in every ingredients the soul of the earth and the memory of ancient taste
